Blessed Mortality

They envy us

The gods

Every fleeting moment lived

Gives our final place in the order

We cannot fathom infinity

We lead with our mortality

A deed is done and made greater

Knowing that it may be our last

Seeking our swan song

Our flames snuff quick

And thus must burn bright

But at least our worries are not eternal

We worry not for our lives

They will be taken all the same

We seek only glory

For the chance of it is fleeting

We will find that which kills us

In our redemption

We find absolution

In the promise of the void

This quest we all share

That the gods cannot know

Seeing the light at the end of our tunnel

Revelation in our final moment
